Who we are
KoalaGuide (koalaguide.com) is run by Koala Guide (ABN 38 159 805 231), Sydney, Australia. This policy explains what we collect when you use the site and sign up for the free e-book.
What we collect
If you request the free guide we store your email address, optional first name, the language you chose, which emails you agreed to and the date you consented. We use privacy-friendly analytics that count page views without identifying you. We do not sell your data.
How we use it
We send you the e-book and our guide emails: a short series, then at most one email a week with jobs and new guides. Course offers and partner deals, including CBD College courses, are sent only if you ticked the separate optional box; CBD College is owned by the same people as KoalaGuide and pays us a commission when you book. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
Affiliate links and cookies
Links to partners on this site may set a cookie on the partner's site so they can attribute your sign-up to us. Course links to CBD College carry only a referral tag, never your name or email. The 10% discount page is CBD College's own form (hosted by Referral Factory): the name, email and phone number you enter there go to CBD College under its own privacy policy, not to us, as do the details you give when you book. CBD College tells us only de-identified booking totals. KoalaGuide itself only sets a cookie to remember your language and, if you install the app, to cache pages for offline reading.
Where your data lives
Your email address and sign-up details are stored with our email provider, Resend, in the United States (our emails are sent from its Ireland region), protected by standard contractual clauses. Nothing is stored until you click the confirmation link we send you. The website is hosted by Vercel.
Your rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data at any time. If you are in the EU or UK you have rights under the GDPR; in Australia the Privacy Act applies. Write to us via the contact page.
